Men's College Basketball, Men Basketball Recruiting

Montverde Academy capped off one of the most dominant high school basketball seasons of all time in style, going 3-0 at Chipotle Nationals to capture a national championship. The Eagles took down Arizona Compass Prep (64-49), Columbus (84-70), and Paul VI (79-63), all top-10 ranked teams on their way to finishing a perfect 33-0 on the season.

LSU signee Curtis Givens (ESPN 100 No. 51) was exceptional against Paul VI on Saturday, pouring in 24 points off the bench while shooting 7-for-11 from the field with three assists and three rebounds. Duke signee Cooper Flagg (ESPN 300 No. 1) was a standout throughout the tournament and finished the title game with 16 points, eight rebounds, and six blocks.

The win marked the seventh Chipotle Nationals championship for the Montverde program, and the Eagles finished the season having held the No. 1 spot in the ESPN rankings for 21 consecutive weeks, which was the duration of the 2023-2024 season.
