Bryant Crawford to start pro career after junior season

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Bryant Crawford is starting his professional basketball career and will not return to Wake Forest for his senior season.

Crawford announced his decision Tuesday through the school. The guard initially went through the pre-draft process earlier this month without hiring an agent, leaving open the possibility he would come back to school.

Crawford led the Demon Deacons in scoring last year, averaging 16.9 points. He's the sixth player to leave the program early since February.

He and Doral Moore both turned pro, while Keyshawn Woods, Donovan Mitchell and Richard Washington announced plans to transfer, and Sam Japhet-Mathias was kicked off the team.
