Duke freshmen Jayson Tatum and Marques Bolden made their college debuts in the No. 5 Blue Devils' 94-55 win Saturday night against Maine.
The 6-foot-8 Tatum, the third-ranked player in the Class of 2016, scored 10 points. He wound up starting and scored his first basket on a banked jumper about 7 minutes in.
Tatum had suffered a foot injury at Duke's NBA pro day in October and missed the first eight games of the season.
The 6-11 Bolden, another possible lottery pick, also had been recovering from a foot injury. He was the first man off Duke's bench and his first points came when he stuck back Tatum's missed layup with about 7 1/2 minutes until halftime.
He finished with seven points.
The Blue Devils were without injured starting guards Grayson Allen, who has a toe injury, and Frank Jackson against the Black Bears. Duke also has been without top-ranked freshman Harry Giles, whose timetable to return is still unclear.
Giles had a procedure on his left knee about two months ago. Giles missed his sophomore season in high school with a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus in his left knee and his senior season with a torn ACL in his right knee.
