Warren's FTs send UT Arlington past UC Davis 68-59

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Brian Warren scored 18 points, Radshad Davis scored 12 and UT Arlington beat UC Davis 68-59 on Sunday.

Warren missed 11 of 15 shot attempts but made all eight of his free throws; six coming in the last 43 seconds to keep the Aggies at arm's length.

In the first half, D.J. Bryant made back-to-back 3-pointers with for a 33-28 Mavericks lead and UT Arlington (2-1) never trailed again.

Bryant and Edric Dennis each finished with 11 points and TiAndre Jackson-Young grabbed 11 rebounds. The Mavericks struggled from the floor shooting 18 of 47 (38 percent) but made up for that going 24 of 28 (86 percent) from the foul line.

Siler Schneider scored 15 points for UC Davis (1-3), T.J. Shorts II finished with 12 and Joe Mooney had 10. The Aggies experienced a shooting reversal of the Mavericks' efforts, shooting 20 of 45 (44 percent) from the floor but missing 12 of 25 free throws.
