Holy Cross shoots 74 percent in 2nd half, beats Navy 81-65

ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Jehyve Floyd scored 20 points and No. 6 seed Holy Cross shot 74 percent in the second half to beat third-seeded Navy 81-65 on Thursday night in a Patriot League quarterfinal.

Holy Cross (12-18) will play No. 2 seed Colgate in a semifinal.

Floyd was 8 of 9 from the floor and had three assists, two blocks and a steal. Austin Butler added 18 points for the Crusaders, who shot 25 of 57 (68 percent) overall and made 25 of their 32 free throws. Floyd and Butler combined for 21 second-half points.

Holy Cross opened the second half on a 23-8 run for a 55-39 lead with 8:32 to play and cruised from there. Floyd scored 10 points and capped the surge with a dunk. The Crusaders were 14-of-19 shooting and made 19 of 23 free throws in the half.

George Kiernan scored 16 points on 6-of-13 shooting for Navy (20-12).
