Corey Davis' putback wins it for Houston, 68-66

LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Corey Davis' putback with 0.3 seconds left gave Houston a 68-66 victory over Liberty on Saturday in a consolation semifinal in the Paradise Jam.

Devin Davis missed a straightaway jumper with three seconds left but Davis was there to put in the game-winner.

The Cougars (2-1) will play in the consolation semifinals while Liberty will be in the seventh-place game on Sunday.

Rob Gray led Houston with 19 points, Wes VanBeck added 18 and Devin Davis 12. Breaon Brady grabbed 11 rebounds.

Georgie Pacheco-Ortiz led Liberty (2-2) with 16 points with four other Flames scoring 11 each.

Pacheco-Ortiz's 3-point play tied the game with 11 seconds left as there were 12 lead changes and eight ties.

The tournament was moved from the U.S. Virgin Islands to Liberty's Vines Center in Lynchburg because of hurricane damage.
