Bolden's double-double sends Jackson St. past Alabama A&M

JACKSON, Miss. -- Treshawn Bolden scored 18 points and had 10 rebounds and his go-ahead layup with 1:42 left gave Jackson State a 59-56 win over Alabama A&M on Wednesday night.

Julian Daughtry made a pair of free throws with 23 seconds remaining and De'Ederick Petty missed a 3-pointer and a chance to tie with five seconds left.

Jackson State (5-10, 2-0 Southwestern Athletic Conference) got 12 points from Maurice Rivers, Paris Collins scored nine points with three blocked shots and Daughtry scored nine. The Tigers led 30-26 at halftime and outscored Alabama A&M 9-5 in the first 4 1/2 minutes to start the second half.

Andre Kennedy's jumper with 11:38 left capped an 8-0 Bulldogs run to knot the score at 44.

Arthur Johnson scored 11 points and Kennedy added 10 for Alabama A&M (1-14, 1-1).
