Ravenel hits 8 3s, Florida A&M tops Delaware St 94-89 in 2OT

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Justin Ravenel made eight 3-pointers and scored a career-high 30 points, Marcus Barham scored 11 of his 24 points in the two overtime sessions and Florida A&M beat Delaware State 94-89 on Monday night.

Neither team had a double-digit lead in the game. Delaware State closed the second half on a 9-2 run to tie it at 69. Barham made a fall-away jumper on a broken play to give FAMU an 80-78 lead in the first overtime, but Artem Tavakalyan tipped in a missed 3-pointer to force another session.

FAMU went on a 7-0 run in the second overtime to take control in front of a season-high 2,487 fans at the Lawson Center.

Desmond Williams also had 11 combined points in extra time and finished with 16 points for Florida A&M (3-18, 2/3 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference). Williams and Barham shot a combined 13 for 32 from the field.

Marquis Collins led Delaware State (2-18, 0-5) with 24 points and nine rebounds.
