Coppin State beats Maryland-Eastern Shore 71-68

BALTIMORE -- Chad Andrews-Fulton had 16 points on Monday night and Coppin State survived without a field goal in the final two minutes to beat Maryland-Eastern Shore 71-68.

Lucian Brownlee's 3-pointer with 2:24 left gave the Eagles (4-19, 4-4 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) the lead for good at 68-65.

Logan McIntosh cut the deficit to 68-67 with a pair of free throws for the Hawks (5-19, 1-8). Karonn Davis split of pair of foul shots for Coppin State, Sean Hoggs did the same for UMES to make it 69-68 with 41 seconds left, and Davis and Brownlee added a free throw each in the final 15 seconds for the Eagles.

Davis, Brownlee and Cedric Council Jr. each had 12 points for Coppin State. Davis had nine boards and Brownlee and Council each grabbed seven.

McIntosh had 23 points, Ahmad Frost scored 17 and Tyler Jones added 13 for the Hawks.
