Bethune-Cookman now 4-0 in MEAC, tops Florida A&M 99-81

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Shawntrez Davis and Brandon Tabb combined to score 42 points as Bethune-Cookman won its fourth straight game, downing Florida A&M 99-81 in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference battle Saturday afternoon.

The Wildcats remain undefeated in conference play and started the wire-to-wire win on an 11-0 run in the first three minutes. Bethune-Cookman built a 25-point lead barely five minutes into the second half.

By halftime Bethune-Cookman (9-9, 4-0) held a 17-point lead, 50-33 and finished the game shooting 56.1 percent from the field (37 of 66).

Davis hit 9 of 13 from the field to amass 22 points. Tabb finished 6 of10 for 20 points while Isiah Bailey added 19 points and Soufiyane Diakite contributed 17 points and 16 rebounds.

The Wildcats hit 8 of 18 from behind the arc and held a 50-26 advantage on the boards.

Desmond Williams led Florida A&M with 24 points. Marcus Barham added another 15.
