Louisiana Tech wins fourth straight, beats FAU 67-62

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Derric Jean had 16 points and Amorie Archibald scored nine of his 15 in the last four minutes to help Louisiana Tech pull away and beat Florida Atlantic 67-62 on Thursday night.

Louisiana Tech (14-9, 5-5 Conference USA) has won four straight games while FAU (10-12, 4-6) has lost three of its last four.

Justin Massey's 3-pointer stretched the Owl's lead to 55-51 with 4:42 remaining. Archibald scored nine points and Oliver Powell added five as the Bulldogs closed the game on a 16-3 run for a 67-58 lead with 28 seconds left.

Archibald missed all five of his shots in the first half, but was 5-of-8 shooting from the field and made 5 of 7 free throws in second. Powell added 12 points and Jy'lan Washington 11 rebounds for the Bulldogs.

Jailyn Ingram scored 16 points to lead FAU. Ronald Delph had 14 points and Gerdarius Troutman chipped in 13.
