King paces Middle Tennessee past UT San Antonio 75-51

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- Nick King scored 22 points and Brandon Walters grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds and Middle Tennessee beat UT San Antonio 75-51 on Thursday night.

Giddy Potts' jumper with 10:12 before halftime broke a 16-all tie and started a 13-2 run from which the Roadrunners never recovered. King scored eight straight with a 3-pointer, a 3-point play and layup, and Tyrik Dixon buried a 3 and Middle Tennessee (15-5, 7-1 Conference USA) led 34-23.

After the break, Antwain Johnson and King teamed up for a 9-2 run to extend the margin to 56-38 with 8:47 remaining. Therren Shelton-Szmidt's 3 with two minutes left pushed the margin to 30 points. Johnson finished with 15 points. The Blue Raiders are 7-1 in their last eight games.

Jhivvan Jackson led Ut San Antonio (10-11, 3-5) with 17 points. The Roadrunners have lost four of their last five.
