Madison, Kamga lead High Point past Presbyterian 73-49

HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Junior Ricky Madison had his first career double-double and Brandon Kamga scored 13 points, including three 3-pointers, to help High Point beat Presbyterian 73-49 on Monday night.

Madison made all seven of his free-throw attempts, finished with 11 points and grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds. Denny Slay also scored 11, while Jahaad Proctor and Andre Fox added 10 points apiece for High Point (8-9, 3-3 Big South)

Kamga hit a 3 to open the scoring and Austin White's jumper gave the Panthers a 13-3. Armel TeTe's jumper pulled Presbyterian (8-11, 1-5) within eight points with four minutes left in the first half, but Proctor and Slay answered with back-to-back 3-pointers to push the lead to 31-17 about a minute later. High Point, which made twice as many first-half field goals (12) than the Blue Hose, led by at least 11 the rest of the way.

J.C. Younger, the only Presbyterian player to score in double figures, had 19 points on 6-of-12 shooting. The rest of the Blue Hose players shot just 24.3 percent (9 of 37).
