Brown scores career-high 27, Bucknell wins 7th straight

ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Stephen Brown scored a career-high 27 points with seven 3-pointers and Bucknell beat Navy 87-67 on Wednesday night for its seventh straight victory.

Bucknell (14-8, 8-1) maintained sole possession of first place in the Patriot League with its sixth straight road win of the season -- equaling its longest in the last six years.

Zach Thomas, averaging 21.2 points and 9.5 rebounds, had 16 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists for the Bison. Nana Foulland chipped in 14 points and eight rebounds.

In the first half, Brown tied a career high with five 3-pointers and scored 17 points to help Bucknell build a 47-33 lead. Thomas added seven points with six rebounds and five assists as the Bison shot 68 percent and led by as many as 20.

Bryce Dulin scored 10 points of Navy's first 13 points and finished with 14 points. Shawn Anderson added 13 points for the Midshipmen (13-9, 4-5), who have lost 17 of the last 18 meetings in the series.
