McCoy has perfect day with 16 points, Boston U. beats Navy

ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Javante McCoy scored 16 points as all ten Boston University players got on the board to contribute to the Terriers' 75-68 victory over Navy on Saturday afternoon.

McCoy had a perfect day shooting, making all five attempts from the floor, hitting one from distance, and going 5 of 5 from the line. Will Goff added 10 points and Tyler Scanlon also had 10 points while dishing out six assists for the Terriers (10-9, 6-2 Patriot League).

Boston University held a 29-27 halftime advantage. The Midshipmen closed to 52-51 after Shawn Anderson hit a jumper with 7:23 left.

McCoy drilled a 3-pointer and followed that with a steal and a dunk as Boston University pushed its lead to 57-51 with 5:19 remaining. The Terriers made eight free throws down the stretch to seal their fourth win in the last five games.

Boston University shot 56 percent (25-45) from the floor while limiting the Midshipmen to 26-of-62 shooting (42 percent).

George Kiernan led Navy (13-8, 4-4) with 22 points. Tom Lacey added 12 points with 16 rebounds.
