King scores 18 points, Army beats Loyola (Md.) 86-75

WEST POINT, N.Y. -- Alex King scored 18 points, Matthew Wilson added 15, and Army beat Loyola (Md.) 86-75 on Tuesday night.

Tucker Blackwell scored 13 points, Luke Morrison added 10, and Babacar Thiombane blocked a season-high four shots for the Black Knights (8-5, 1-1 Patriot League), who shot 53.6 percent from the field. Thomas Funk had six assists.

The lead changed hands six times before Blackwell scored seven in a row for Army to take a 62-58 lead and the Black Knights pulled ahead 71-65 on Jordan Fox's layup with 5:12 left. Matthew Wilson scored six points during a 10-3 run that made it 79-68 with 1:48 to play and Army hit 7-of-8 free throws from there to seal it.

Loyola led 37-29 on Sam Norton's free throws, but the Black Knights closed the half on a 14-5 run in which King scored six points and led 43-40 at halftime.

Andre Walker scored 22 points, including five 3-pointers, Isaiah Hart added 16 points, and Chuck Champion 15 for the Greyhounds (3-10, 1-1).
