Jacksonville beat Gardner-Webb 106-99 in triple overtime

DAYTON, Ohio -- Jace Hogan had 29 points and 10 rebounds, Devin Harris added 25 points, nine rebounds, eight assists and four steals, and Jacksonville beat Gardner-Webb 106-99 in triple overtime on Sunday.

It was a career-high in points for Hogan, Harris and Cody Helgeland (17). Harris, a senior, has set career highs in three of his last four games.

Gardner-Webb forced the first two overtime sessions. Patrick Zeck had a tip-in just before the regulation buzzer and DJ Laster hit a tying 3-pointer with 19 seconds left in the first OT.

Jacksonville went without a field goal for the final three minutes of the second OT, but Harris tied it at the 39-second mark. He missed two free throws in the closing seconds as it went to the third OT.

Harris made two at the stripe in the third OT to make it 102-95.

Helgeland and JD Notae each added 17 points for Jacksonville (3-4). Notae also had 10 boards, four assists and three steals. Jacksonville's the first Atlantic Sun team to play in a three-overtime game since FGCU on Nov. 21, 2015.

David Efianayi scored 27 points for Gardner-Webb (2-6) and Liam O'Reilly had 17 points, 12 rebounds and six assists.
