KENNESAW, Ga. -- Brandon Goodwin scored 18 points, Zach Johnson added 17 and Florida Gulf Coast defeated Kennesaw State 66-49 on Saturday for its seventh straight victory.

Brian Thomas' dunk and tip-in started a 10-2 run that gave the Eagles a 17-point lead with 10 minutes to go and they remained ahead by double figures.

Goodwin had a 3-pointer and layup to start a 20-6 run on the way to a 32-24 halftime lead.

The Eagles (14-8, 5-0) beat Kennesaw State for the 15th straight time and have started an Atlantic Sun season 5-0 for the first time since joining the league for the 2007-08 season.
