Bell-Haynes perfect 10, Vermont tops Dartmouth 91-79

HANOVER, N.H. -- Trae Bell-Haynes scored a season-high 27 points on perfect 10 of 10 shooting and Payton Henson added 20 as Vermont raced away for a 91-79 non-conference victory over Dartmouth on Wednesday night.

Cam Ward added 14 points for the Catamounts (12-5), who have won 10 straight against neighboring-state rival Dartmouth (4-9), though Big Green still leads the all-time series 57-46. The win matches Vermont's program record 10 nonconference wins in a season.

Taylor Johnson scored 17 points with three 3-pointers, leading four Dartmouth players into double figures. Chris Knight scored 14, Brendan Barry 13, including all 3 from distance, and Will Emery 10. Dartmouth hit a season best 55 percent on 11-of-17 shooting from 3-point range.

Ernie Duncan, who won America East co-player of the week honors for averaging 17.7 points per game in Vermont's 3-0 week, scored nine.
