Hofstra pulls away late, beats Towson 91-86

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. -- Justin Wright-Foreman scored 27 points and Hofstra pulled away in the final four minutes to beat Towson 91-86 on Saturday in a Colonial Athletic Association regular season finale.

Hofstra (19-11, 12-6) has won five of its last six games, and finishes in third place in the conference standings. Towson (18-13, 8-10) entered having secured no better than fifth place.

Alex Thomas hit a jump shot and Eddie Keith II made four consecutive free throws during a 6-0 surge to pull Towson to 76-74 with 4:02 remaining. Hofstra answered with a 12-6 spurt to stretch its lead to 88-80 with 27 seconds left. Zane Martin's back-to-back 3s for the Tigers made it 89-86 before Wright-Foreman's two free throws capped the scoring.

Martin finished with a career-high 36 points to lead Towson. Justin Gorham added 20 points and 12 rebounds for fourth double-double of the season.
