Iona shoot 57 percent from arc in 91-64 victory over Rider

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Schadrac Casimir scored 15 points, Deyshonee Much 14 and Iona shot 57 percent from the arc in beating Rider 91-64 on Sunday.

The Gaels (11-7, 5-1 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) made 16 of 28 3-point tries with Much and Jan Svandrlik, who scored 12 points, sinking four each. Rickey McGill added 13 points and nine assists and E.J. Crawford 10 for Iona, which shot 58 percent and won its fourth straight.

Stevie Jordan scored 14 points in 17 minutes in the first half for the Broncs but left the game, after falling awkwardly, with 3:14 remaining before the break. Jordan didn't return, being carried out to the bench for the second half and then using crutches.

Rider (11-6, 4-2) made 4 of 9 3-pointers and trailed just 44-40 at halftime but missed all six from long range in the second half when it shot 38 percent compared to 55 percent in the first half.

Dimencio Vaughn and Tyere Marshal scored 11 and 10 points, respectively, for Rider, which had a four-game win streak snapped.
