Scott scores career-high 25, Rider beats Fairfield 96-77

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. -- Frederick Scott had a career-high 25 points on Friday night and Rider led by double digits throughout the second half in a 96-77 win over Fairfield.

Scott made all three of his 3-point attempts in the first half while the Broncs (9-6, 2-1 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) led by as many as 17 and went into the intermission up 50-34. Scott grabbed eight rebounds, finished 5 of 7 from distance and made 8 of 11 overall from the field.

Rider reached its largest lead at 72-48 before the Stags (6-8, 1-2) used a 14-2 run to get within 12 with 9:09 to play. The Broncs kept the lead between 12 and 21 from there.

Stevie Jordan added 18 points, Dimencio Vaughn scored 14, and Anthony Durham and Jordan Allen chipped in 10 apiece for Rider.

Tyler Nelson had 21 points and Jonathan Kasibabu scored 13 for Fairfield.
