Watterman, Williams lift Manhattan past Marist 101-96 in OT

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Zane Waterman had 23 points and 12 rebounds, Rich Williams had 20 points, including three free throws with 1.1 second left in regulation, and Manhattan rallied to defeat Marist 101-96 in overtime on Tuesday night.

Pauly Paulicap added 19 points, nine in overtime, and Zavier Turner had 12, including the clinching free throws with 1 second left in OT for the Jaspers (7-7, 2-0 Mid-Atlantic Athletic Conference).

Brian Parker had a career-high 33 points and had the Red Foxes (3-11, 1-1) in good position after his pull-up 3-pointer with 4.9 seconds in regulation. Manhattan inbounded the ball and got it past midcourt before calling a timeout with 2.6 seconds left. Williams got the ball in the left corner and pumped-faked Aleksander Dozic into the air, drawing the foul. Williams was 11 of 11 from the line.

Parker threw a baseball pass the length of the court to Tobias Sjoberg but his quick turnaround from close range didn't fall.

Paulicap had inside baskets, two of them dunks, on consecutive OT possessions to keep it a two-possession game, but David Knudsen, who had a career-high 28 points for Marist, kept hitting 3s to push the game to the line. He had the last 13 points of OT for the Red Foxes.

Marist, which led by 12 at the half and 13 with 11:18 to play, had 17 3s, five each by Knudsen and Bryan Funk, who had 15 points.
