Chaney hits late 3, Tenn. State rallies to beat Morehead St.

MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Armani Chaney hit a 3-pointer and followed with a layup in the final minute as Tennessee State rallied to beat Morehead State 61-58 on Thursday night.

Morehead State led for most of the second half and was ahead 52-49 with 2:21 remaining. Darreon Reddick hit from distance to tie it and added a free throw for a 53-52 lead. Lamontray Harris responded with a jumper to retake the lead with 1:43 left. Chaney drained the trey to go out front for good. His layup at the 35-second mark pushed the advantage and Reddick and Delano Spencer made three late free throws to seal the win.

Harris missed a 3-pointer as time expired.

It was the Tennessee State's first win at Morehead State since February 27, 2014.

Spencer led Tennessee State (11-11, 6-5 Ohio Valley Conference) with 16 points, Reddick added 11 with eight rebounds and Ken'Darrius Hamilton chipped in 10 as the Tigers won their third straight.

Harris finished with 13 points and nine rebounds for Morehead State (6-16, 2-9).
