Hernandez leads LIU Brooklyn past St. Francis (BKN) 81-76

NEW YORK -- Joel Hernandez scored 23 points and Raiquan Clark posted a double-double and LIU Brooklyn took advantage of St. Francis' (BKN) brief scoring drought at the end for an 81-76 win Thursday night.

Rasheem Dunn made three free throws to bring the Terriers within 70-69 with 3:40 left before St. Francis missed its next four shots over two minutes and LIU Brooklyn (14-16, 9-8 Northeast) created safe distance.

Chauncey Hawkins' 3-pointer reduced St. Francis's deficit to 76-74. Clark missed a short shot attempt on the Blackbird's next possession, but off an offensive rebound, Hernandez's 3-point play made it a five-point game. After Dunn's jumper made it 79-76, Hernandez threw down a dunk with five seconds left to end it.

Clark finished with 18 points -- 12 at the free throw line -- and 14 rebounds and Jashaun Agosto scored 18.

Dunn scored 24 for the Terriers (13-16, 10-7), Hawkins, 14, Glenn Sanabria, 11 and Jagos Lasic grabbed 11 rebounds.
