Robinson's 32 points lead Mt. St. Mary's past CCSU 71-57

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. -- Junior Robinson scored 32 points and was 12-of-17 shooting from the field and Mount St. Mary's beat Central Connecticut State 71-57 on Thursday night.

The Blue Devils led 32-27 at halftime before Mount St. Mary's gradually began chipping away and took the lead for good when Donald Carey went on his own 7-0 run with a pair of jump shots and a 3-pointer, and the Mountaineers led 44-39 with 11:44 left to play. Later, Robinson went on a 7-0 run with a pair of layups and a 3 to make it 55-46 with 6:46 remaining.

Carey scored 13 points and Greg Alexander scored 10 for Mount St. Mary's (15-11, 9-4 Northeast), which shot 27 of 52 from the field with nine 3s.

Tyler Kohl led the Blue Devils with 24 points and nine rebounds and Joe Hugley added 16 points. Central Connecticut State finished 19-of-51 shooting from the field.
