Mount St. Mary's hits 14 3s in 96-80 win over Bryant

EMMITSBURG, Md. -- Junior Robinson scored 25 points with nine assists, Jonah Antonio added 18 points with four 3-pointers, and Mount St. Mary's beat Bryant 96-80 on Thursday night to end a two-game skid.

Greg Alexander scored 15 points with five 3-pointers, Chris Way added 12 points, 10 rebounds and four assists, and Donald Carey scored 11 points for the Mountaineers (7-9, 1-2). Bobby Planutis added 10 points for Mt. St. Mary's, which shot 56.4 percent from the field, including 14 of 32 (43.8 percent) from 3-point range.

Planutis and Carey each hit 3s, Alexander made three straight 3s and the Mountaineers led 66-37 with 12:58 left to play. Bryant closed to 70-46 on a 20-5 run capped by Adam Grant's back-to-back 3s, then to 88-73 with 2:43 left on Hunter Ware's layup, but got no closer than 14 from there.

Omar Habwe's free throw put the Mountaineers up, 12-11, for good and Mt. St. Mary's used runs of 14-2 and 10-4 to take 45-25 lead into halftime.

Grant scored 29 points with nine 3-pointers and Monty Urmilevicius and Bosko Kostur added 10 apiece for Bryant (1-15, 0-3). The Bulldogs have lost 11 in a row.
