UMass Lowell seals it at foul line to beat Binghamton 74-69

LOWELL, Mass. -- Jahad Thomas scored 22 points and UMass Lowell scored its last 10 points from the foul line and beat Binghamton 74-69 on Sunday.

UMass Lowell (10-16, 4-9 America East) shot 10 of 12 from the free throw line in the final 1:48 -- 5 of 6 by Obadiah Noel -- to keep Binghamton at bay. Binghamton's first score, a layup by Thomas Bruce, marked the Bearcats' only lead.

Connor Bennett's 3-point play broke a 9-all tie and started an 11-2 run that included back-to-back 3-pointers by Noel and Matt Harris. Noel's 3 with 4:05 before halftime made it 30-20 before Binghamton went on a 7-0 run before intermission.

Thomas started the second half with 10-straight Lowell points and the River Hawks slowly pulled away. They finished 24 of 33 from the foul line.

J.C. Show led Binghamton (11-17, 2-11), which was 7 of 11 from the line, with 15 points.
