Yarbrough powers Illinois State past Bradley, 70-57

NORMAL, Ill. -- Milik Yarbrough scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as Illinois State knocked off Bradley, 70-57 in a Missouri Valley Conference battle Wednesday night.

The game marked the 125th meeting between the schools. Bradley holds a 63-62 edge in the series that dates to the 1904-05 season.

William Tinsley hit a 3-pointer with :03 left to send Illinois State into halftime with a 29-22 advantage and Yarbrough hit two free throws to start the second half to push the lead to 31-22 and it hovered around double digits the rest of the way.

Yarbrough was 12-for-12 shooting from the free-throw line. Keyshawn Evans added 11 points and Daoda Ndiaye grabbed 12 boards for the Redbirds (10-9, 4-3).

Winless on the road in the MVC, Bradley (13-7, 3-4) got 13 points and 13 rebounds from Donte Thomas and Dwayne Latier-Ogunleye added another 13 points.
