Wofford rolls to 84-69 win over Western Carolina

CULLOWHEE, N.C. -- Fletcher Magee had 21 points to lead five players in double figures and Wofford cruised to an 84-69 victory over Western Carolina on Thursday night.

Magee hit 5 of 11 from 3-point range to help the Terriers (18-9, 9-5 Southern Conference) shoot 42 percent from distance (11 of 26). Cameron Jackson added 15 points and seven rebounds as Wofford controlled the boards 39-25. Nathan Hoover scored 13 with seven boards and Storm Murphy and Trevor Stumpe added 12 points apiece.

Mike Amius led the Catamounts (12-15, 7-7) with 20 points, while Marcus Thomas scored 13.

Western Carolina fell behind 36-24 by halftime and got no closer than nine points in the second half. The Catamounts shot 44 percent from the floor, but made just 6 of 19 from distance (32 percent).

Wofford's victory leaves the Terriers in a tie with Furman for third place in conference play.
