Furman has big runs to dump Wofford 76-52

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- John Davis scored 13 points, Daniel Fowler had 12 and Furman defeated Wofford 76-52 on Saturday.

The Terriers, who won the first meeting 79-70, scored nine straight to lead 11-2 before the Paladins reeled off 16 straight, six from Clay Mounce. Davis, who started the run with a 3-pointer, did the same to ignite a 15-2 burst, which included six points from Jalen Williams. Furman led 39-21 at the half.

The Paladins (17-9, 8-5 Southern Conference) shot 52 percent in the second half and never let the Terriers get closer than 19 after scoring the first seven points, five by Fowler. Matt Rafferty finished with nine points and 10 rebounds.

Fletcher Magee and Nathan Hoover had 10 points apiece for Wofford (17-9, 8-5), which shot 35 percent and had 15 turnovers.
