East Tennessee State cruises past Western Carolina 66-50

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -- Desonta Bradford scored 16 points, including two 3-pointers, and East Tennessee State extended its win streak to 10 with a 66-50 victory over Western Carolina on Saturday.

Bradford was 5 of 9 from the field and hit all four of his free throws. Jalan McCloud added 13 points for East Tennessee State (16-4, 7-0 Southern Conference), which shot 49 percent from the field and controlled the glass 38-28.

The Buccaneers opened the game with an 11-0 run and never trailed. Five players scored during the run, including Bradford, who slammed in a dunk after David Burrell got an offensive rebound.

Western Carolina (8-11, 4-3) missed 12 of its first 13 shots and finished 19 of 59 from the field (32 percent).

Deriece Parks led the Catamounts with 16 points, including four 3-pointers.
