Taplin's jumper lifts Tulsa over Tulane 91-89 in OT

TULSA, Okla. -- Junior Etou scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, Sterling Taplin added 17 points, including the winning jumper with eight seconds left on overtime, and Tulsa rallied to beat Tulane 91-89 on Wednesday night to win its third straight.

Cameron Reynolds' 3 put Tulane up 84-82, but Corey Henderson Jr.'s free throws sparked a 7-2 run and Tulsa led 89-86 on Etou's free throw with 1:34 left in OT. Jordan Cornish's 3 tied it at 89, but Taplin hit his winning jumper on the next possession after a Tulsa timeout. Tulane's Riley Conroy missed a 3 with one second left.

Henderson scored 19 points, Martins Igbanu had 17 with nine rebounds, and Jaleel Wheeler added 11 points with nine boards for the Golden Hurricane (14-10, 7-5 American Athletic Conference), who trailed 44-34 at halftime and tied it at 80 with 13 seconds left in regulation on Taplin's free throws.

Samir Sehic scored 21 points, Cornish had 20, and Reynolds 17 with 10 rebounds for the Green Wave (13-10, 4-7). Colin Slater and Caleb Daniels scored 14 apiece.
