San Francisco trio leads Dons past Loyola Marymount 72-63

SAN FRANCISCO -- Frankie Ferrari scored 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting and Chase Foster scored 13 and San Francisco defeated Loyola Marymount 72-63 on Saturday.

San Francisco (16-13, 8-8 West Coast) now has won four of its last five games while Loyola Marymount (8-19, 3-13) has dropped four of five. Jimbo Lull added 10 points for the Dons as he, Ferrari and Foster made 15 of San Francisco's 24 field goals.

The Lions owned a 42-31 rebounding advantage -- which included 17 on the offensive end -- but shot just 38 percent (24 of 64) from the field. Lull's jump shot made it 16-15 with 7:18 left before halftime and San Francisco never trailed again. The Dons led 29-25 at halftime and stretched it to 41-32 on a 3-point play by Foster. The Lions tied it at 43 and 45 but could never push past.

James Batemon led Loyola Marymount with 18 points, Mattias Markusson, 17 and 14 rebounds and Eli Scott scored 11.
