Grand Canyon coasts to 86-56 victory over Longwood

PHOENIX -- Fiifi Aidoo came off the bench to score a season-high 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting and Grand Canyon romped to an 86-56 victory over Longwood on Thursday night.

Casey Benson added 11 points and five assists for the Antelopes (9-3), who won for the fourth time in five games. Oscar Frayer had 10 points as 13 different Antelopes scored and Alessandro Lever snared 10 rebounds to help Grand Canyon control the boards 42-26. Grand Canyon's bench outscored its counterparts 50-7.

Kamil Chapman and B.K. Ashe both had 13 points for the Lancers (3-10), while JaShaun Smith scored 11.

Longwood led just once at 3-2 on Smith's 3-pointer. The lead lasted 15 seconds before Joshua Braun and Lever buried back-to-back 3s to spark a 15-0 run.

Aidoo hit two 3s and accounted for all 10 points in a 10-2 run to push the Antelopes' lead to 27-5 midway through the first half. Grand Canyon led 44-20 at halftime and when Benson, Frayer and Braun hit from long range in a 9-0 run to open the second half the rout was on.
