Fans can watch testing at Atlanta Motor Speedway: Fans who can't wait for Atlanta Motor Speedway's NASCAR weekend next month are in luck: they'll be able to satisfy their high-speed needs during a test for select NASCAR teams next week. The Speedway's grandstands will open free of charge from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, January 28, and Tuesday, January 29, for anyone who wants to watch the test. Alsco to sponsor spring XFINITY race at Bristol Motor Speedway: Alsco, a global leader in uniform and linen rental services, has signed a multi-year agreement to become the title sponsor of the April NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway, track officials announced today. The race boosts Alsco's NASCAR Xfinity Series entitlements to three, as the company also recently extended Xfinity Series event sponsorships at BMS sister tracks Kentucky Speedway and Charlotte Motor Speedway. Donnie Allison, Red Farmer tour Talladega's new tunnel: At various times over the years, racing legends Donnie Allison and Red Farmer of the original famed Alabama Gang were on top of the world at Talladega Superspeedway with victories and trips to Gatorade Victory Lane. John's March at Sonoma Raceway raises more than $23,000: More than 350 walkers, runners and four-legged friends took to the Sonoma Raceway road course on Saturday for the 8th annual John's March Against Stomach Cancer, the West Coast's only fundraising walk for No Stomach for Cancer. The unique fundraiser generated $23,670 for No Stomach for Cancer (www.NoStomachForCancer.org), bringing the event's eight-year total to more than $133,000 raised for gastric cancer research and awareness.[More](1-18-2019)

Camping World to sponsor Chicagoland Speedway races: Chicagoland Speedway announced today that Camping World, the nation's largest network of RV-centric retail locations, and the Official RV and Outdoor Retailer of NASCAR, will serve as the entitlement sponsor for this year's ultimate summer NASCAR festival June 28-30. Pocono Raceway upgrades more camping spots: Pocono Raceway announced today an upgrade to a popular camping area, now referred to as '50-Amp Family Grandstand Camping,' to include electricity and water. These improvements were made one year after the Raceway added power and water hook ups to the Trackside and 50-Amp Infield Camping areas. All camping spots, including the new 50-Amp Family Grandstand Camping locations, are now available for purchase for the 2019 Pocono 400, Gander Outdoors 400 and ABC Supply 500 race weekends. Woodstock Festival to be held at Watkins Glen: Original Woodstock promoter Michael Lang has announced that the official 50th anniversary concert will be held in Central New York. Lang announced Wednesday that "Woodstock 50," a three-day festival honoring the original 1969 event, will take place at Watkins Glen, located 80 miles outside of Syracuse, on Aug. 16, 17 and 18, 2019. Teams to test at Las Vegas Motor Speedway: Four NASCAR Cup Series champions with a combined 10 titles highlight a list of 14 drivers tentatively scheduled to participate in a two-day test session at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Jan. 31-Feb. 1. Seven-time NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson, Las Vegas-born titlists Kurt Busch (2004) and Kyle Busch (2015), as well as 2012 champ Brad Keselowski, will be on-hand for the test, which will be open to the public free of charge. Formosa Productions and Bristol Motor Speedway work to bring NASCAR back to Nashville UPDATE: Formosa Productions Inc. and Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS) have today reached an agreement to explore bringing major NASCAR racing events back to Nashville. Chicagoland Speedway to host carnival on NASCAR race weeekend: Chicagoland Speedway announced today that a Carnival will be added to the growing line-up of fan enhancements during the NASCAR Festival Weekend June 27-30. The carnival, a first at Chicagoland Speedway, will be set up in Champions Park, the ultimate pre-race fan experience in a park-like atmosphere with live entertainment and interactive displays, will be open Friday through Sunday. Auto Club Speedway planning five wide salute for NASCAR Auto Club 400: For the first time ever on the NASCAR circuit, Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers will line up five wide during the pace laps prior to the drop of the green flag for the Auto Club 400 on March 17, 2019. The "Five Wide Salute" not only pays homage to Saturday night short tracks, but also celebrates Auto Club Speedway's signature racing style of flat out and five wide. Progress continues on Talladega's vehicle tunnel: The hustle and bustle of the holidays are over, but not the construction efforts for Talladega Superspeedway's new Turn 3 Oversized Vehicle Tunnel, the first development of the 2019 Transformation Infield Project. Crews worked through much of the holidays and the tunnel walls are now coming to life as a result despite battling a host of inclement weather.
