Mauricio Pochettino staying at Tottenham Hotspur - Daniel Levy

LONDON -- Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has said manager Mauricio Pochettino is staying at the club, adding: "I'm sure he's not going anywhere."

Pochettino was linked with Inter Milan after leading Spurs to second in the Premier League, while reports in March suggested he could be a contender to replace Luis Enrique at Barcelona after meeting club president Josep Maria Bartmomeu.

But speaking at a news conference in Hong Kong, where Spurs announced an extended partnership with shirt sponsor AIA ahead of Friday's friendly against Kitchee SC, Levy said: "Is he going somewhere?

"Look, he's here. Sitting right with us here. I'm sure he's not going anywhere. He loves us."

Earlier this month, Pochettino rubbished reports in Italy that his Spurs contract has a €5 million buyout clause and said he would be staying.

"There are many, many rumours but I have a commitment with Tottenham and no reason to leave the club," he said.

Levy said AIA would now be known as the club's "global principal partner" and that the Hong Kong-based insurance company would continue as shirt sponsor until the end of the 2021-22 season.

No figures were released for the deal, but sources told ESPN FC it was worth significantly more than the previous deal with the firm, signed in 2014 and worth £16m per season.

As part of the deal, Levy said Spurs would return to Asia "on a number of occasions" in the next five years.

Spurs remain in talks with various companies about selling the naming rights for their new 61,000-seater stadium, which will cost around £800m.
