Sebastian Giovinco and Jozy Altidore have been ruled out of Toronto FC's game against the LA Galaxy on Saturday after picking up minor injuries, the team has confirmed.

Giovinco was taken off for precautionary reasons in the second half of TFC's 4-0 thrashing of the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday after feeling tightness in his hamstring.

Altidore also limped off in the second period with what the team called a lower-body injury.

"They're not going to travel with us. We're not going to take them across the country at this point," Toronto manager Greg Vanney said on Wednesday.

We'll give them a few days to continue to progress, and reassess when we get back for Wednesday."

Toronto will host the Montreal Impact next Wednesday, then will visit the New England Revolution three days later.

Vanney said he hopes to have both players back for those matches.

Giovinco is TFC's leading scorer with 15 goals this season. Altidore is second on the team with 13.
