Gerard Deulofeu sparked Everton to a 3-1 win in a friendly at MK Dons on Tuesday. Deulofeu followed that up by sending in a cross for Barkley to double Everton's lead in the 19th minute. Villarreal won the Trofeo Iberico de Extramadura by beating Sporting Lisbon 4-3 on penalties after a goalless game. In friendlies with other La Liga sides on Tuesday, Espanyol drew 1-1 at Utrecht, Eibar managed a 2-2 draw at Mirandes and Las Palmas fell 1-0 at home to Tenerife. In France, Metz beat Belgian side Tubize 2-1, while Dijon were held to a 1-1 draw by UNFP FC. Bundesliga side Colonge lost 1-0 to third-tier Fortuna Colonge, while Werder Bremen and Huddersfield Town played to a goalless draw.
