Huddersfield Town have completed the signing of Jon Gorenc Stankovic from Borussia Dortmund on a four-year contract. Stankovic, who was part of Dortmund's under-23 side, reunites with former BVB reserve coach David Wagner, who took charge at Championship side Huddersfield in November. The defender had joined Dortmund from NK Domzale and made 62 appearances in Germany's third and fourth tiers. Wagner told Huddersfield's official website: "Having worked with Jon, I know he is an outstanding young talent and it is not normal that we'd get the opportunity to bring him here. When we did, it is great that we could move so quickly to complete the transfer. "Jon will come in and work with the First Team group, but he will be given time to develop further. "He has the height of a centre back and his physical side will continue to develop; he is only 20 years old. He is already very comfortable in possession of the ball and knows our style of play very well; this will suit his style. "I am excited about having Jon as part of our squad, both this season and over the next few years." A message on the Bundesliga club's official site added: "Borussia Dortmund wishes Jon Gorenc Stankovic every success in his future career!"
