Kwesé secures UEFA Nations League, EURO 2020 rights

Football fans across the continent are in for an even bigger treat as Kwesé Sports brings them all the thrilling action of Europe's most exciting sporting league.

Econet Media's sports content platform has signed a four-year deal with the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) to broadcast the UEFA EURO 2020™, as well as the preceding qualifiers, in all Sub-Saharan African countries, excluding South Africa.

The agreement strengthens Kwesé Sports' remarkable programming line-up, giving soccer fans exclusive access to over 1 000 UEFA matches free-to-air (FTA) in Africa and non-exclusive rights to broadcast on pay-tv across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Kwesé's broadcast rights include live matches, delayed matches, highlights and on-demand programming, as well as localised review programs to UEFA fans across Africa.

The much anticipated UEFA EURO 2020™ is where Europe's stars will come out to play for the continent's biggest prize and national pride. Kwesé's sports fans will witness magic on the pitch as the likes of Ronaldo, Bale and Pogba go head-to-head.

In addition to the 2020 Euro Championships, Kwesé Sports will also broadcast UEFA's new tournament which pits Europe's top ranking soccer nations against each other in a new league format. The UEFA Nations League™, which kicks off in 2018/2019, will add further excitement and competition to country clashes giving football fans across the continent even more reason to stay glued to Kwesé screens.
