The Best votes revealed: Messi, Chhetri pick Modrić

Luka Modric beat Mohammed Salah and Cristiano Ronaldo to win FIFA's The Best award in London on Tuesday.

The vote for the award is split equally among four voting groups of participants: national coaches of FIFA Member Associations, their team captains, a select group of media from those countries and fans.

Modric, the first Croatian player to win the honour, got 29 per cent of the votes to beat Ronaldo (19 per cent), Mohamed Salah (11.2 per cent), Kylian Mbappe (10 per cent) and Lionel Messi (9 per cent).
