Real Madrid's Vinicius Jr. 'distorts' Segunda B - Cultural Leonesa president

The presence of Real Madrid's €45 million signing Vinicius Jr. in their B side has "distorted" the league, Cultural Leonesa president Felipe Llamazares has claimed.

Vinicius, 18, joined Real Madrid in the summer as their biggest signing of the transfer window. However, he is yet to make a matchday squad in La Liga and was an unused substitute during the UEFA Super Cup defeat to Atletico Madrid, having been demoted to the Castilla side, which competes in Segunda B -- the third tier.

But Llamazares has said it is unfair that such elite players are available at that level and affects the league from one game to the next.

"The competition is being distorted by certain types of players, world class players, and with certain reserve sides," he said. "Vinicius can play here today, but tomorrow, he doesn't against a direct rival and that is distorting the competition."

Atletico Madrid defender Alberto Rodriguez tried to come up with a novel way to stop Vinicius, by attempting to bite the Brazilian during a recent B-team derby. Rodriguez apologised for the incident, adding that was "not proud" of what happened.

Leonesa play Real Madrid Castilla on Sunday and are looking to return to the Segunda after being relegated last season.
