Germany stay top of FIFA rankings; Poland join Spain in sixth place

With only three months to go before the start of the World Cup in Russia, FIFA have released their latest rankings.

Following a quiet period with very few international games, not many positions have changed. World champions Germany remain at the top of the table, followed by Brazil and Portugal.

Poland were the only team to move among the top 20, after climbing to joint sixth place alongside Spain.

The biggest climbers overall are minnows Andorra, who reached the 130th spot in the ranking, moving up by seven and who are now five spots away from equalling their best-ever position.

There are no new entries into the top 50 but, with plenty of international games to take place in the next weeks in preparation for the World Cup, there are likely to be changes the next rankings are published on April 12.
