Brighton in talks with Celtic over striker Moussa Dembele - sources

Brighton are keen to sign Celtic striker Moussa Dembele, with the two clubs in talks over a move, though both have yet to agree a fee, according to sources close to both clubs.

Dembele, 21, has scored eight goals in 19 appearances this season and won the Treble last campaign where he bagged 32 in 49 games.

The former Fulham striker has been linked with a move away from Celtic for some time, with Chelsea, Tottenham and Real Madrid all credited with interest.

Brighton boss Chris Hughton told Sky Sports News earlier this month: "He's a very good player who has had a very good season. He is not our player he just happens to be one of probably 100 names you could mention that I probably would [want]."

Dembele came through the ranks at Paris Saint-Germain before moving to Fulham where he starred for their under-18 side. He made his first-team debut as a substitute in a 3-0 Premier League defeat at West Ham in 2013, but chose not to renew his contract and he left on a free transfer in the summer of 2016.

He made his debut as an U21 international for France in October 2016.
