Europe's biggest clubs keen on AC Milan forward Carlos Bacca - agent

The "majority of Europe's biggest clubs" have asked about AC Milan forward Carlos Bacca, his agent has said.

Bacca was left out of the Milan squad for the Europa League playoff against Shkendija, increasing speculation that he will move on.

The Colombia international has rarely been used by coach Vincenzo Montella in preseason and, with Milan preparing to sign a new forward before the window closes, has been linked with a return to Sevilla.

Agent Sergio Barila told Caracol Radio: "The majority of Europe's biggest clubs, and I'm not going to go into any details, have already enquired about his situation.

"[Monaco] have asked about the player's situation, his preferences and what Milan want for Carlos. Carlos is a big player and, whichever club he plays for, they can be certain that he will score goals.

"If he were to leave, it's normal that clubs who are looking for a forward are asking me about Carlos."

Barila said Bacca still had three years left on his contract and could yet stay at Milan "if the sporting conditions are favourable."

But he added that a move back to Sevilla was realistic and said: "He knows the club and the Spanish league, and he performed well and was successful there.

"If he were to leave and Sevilla were to give him a good opportunity, everybody would view it favourably. It's the World Cup year and he wants to be in top form for when Russia comes around.

"Carlos is a player who has a great CV in Europe, for the work he has done, for the goals he has scored, and in the national team.

"We're going to find the best possible solution for the player, which is the most important thing, and also for the club."

However, Barila said Bacca would not be moving to the Chinese Super League.

"Obviously Chinese football is emerging and they are looking to sign top players from Europe and Carlos has performed well in Europe, so they have thought about him," he added.

"The opportunity arose, but Carlos is not thinking about this. He wants to stay in Europe and be in good condition for the national team by competing at a high level in Europe."
