Julian Brandt's father denies reported move to Bayern Munich from Bayer

Julian Brandt's father and agent has denied reports that his son has already agreed to join German champions Bayern Munich from Bayer Leverkusen.

Bild reported on Friday the German international had given his word on a move to Bavaria, further speculating only the timing of the move was up for discussion. Brandt is contracted at Bayer until 2019, with Bild suggesting a fee of €30 million would be due for his services this summer and dropping to €12.5m if the 20-year-old ended up moving in 2018 by virtue of a buyout clause.

But Brandt's father Jurgen told Sky Deutschland: "There isn't any trend nor any agreement. Julian will speak to Leverkusen about the season and his future in the summer."

"There have been enquiries from Bayern as well as others -- but only to me," Brandt senior said. "I collect these but there's nothing concrete yet."

"Julian hasn't made any decision as to his future yet. He hasn't spoken with any of those responsible at Bayern such as [Karl-Heinz] Rummenigge, [Uli] Hoeness or [Michael] Reschke, nor has he spoken to [Carlo] Ancelotti."

And Brandt senior told kicker: "It's a hoax. Julian was never in a situation to have to make a decision. Accordingly he hasn't decided."

Bayern's technical director Reschke signed the five-time German international from Wolfsburg during his time at Leverkusen in 2014.
