Julian Draxler could consider Bayern Munich move, happy at Paris Saint-Germain

Julian Draxler is happy at Paris Saint-Germain but has hinted he could be interested in a move to Bayern Munich next summer.

Draxler was linked with a switch to the Allianz Arena over the summer but he insisted there had been no contact. But with Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery likely to leave next summer, when the two forwards will be 35 and 36 respectively, that situation could change.

"I never had any contact with Bayern officials [in the summer], and that's why it's currently not an issue," Draxler told Sport1.

"I would neither categorically say no [to an offer] nor would I drop everything."

Draxler, 24, joined PSG from Wolfsburg in January last year, and has since featured in 75 matches for the Ligue 1 champions. However, he has only completed 90 minutes five times in 2018, and has largely been used as a substitute.

New PSG coach Thomas Tuchel has opted to play Angel Di Maria over Draxler but, despite becoming more marginalised in Paris, Draxler is confident of more playing time.

"The situation at Paris is indeed very tough," he added. "The competition is high, especially in my position. In Kylian [Mbappe] and Neymar, the two best players in the world play there -- or at least in my opinion they will be the best in the future.

"I saw no reason to run away [in the summer]. The situation simply had not changed and I made 47, 48 appearances last season."

Having come off the bench three times during the first four matches of this season, Draxler said he's "convinced that I will get those games again this year."

He added: "I like the club, I like the city. I feel at home and that's why I saw no reason to do a runner."
