Watford confirm Nordin Amrabat exit to Al-Nassr FC

Watford's Nordin Amrabat has completed a permanent move to Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr FC, the Premier League side confirmed on Wednesday.

The wideman moved to Vicarage Road from Malaga in January 2016 but leaves after making just 48 first-team appearances for the Hornets in all competitions.

The move was initially announced by Al-Nassr on July 16, with Watford only confirming the deal in a statement on their website after receiving the relevant paperwork.

He was loaned out to Leganes last season after being deemed surplus to requirements by Marco Silva.

The 31-year-old represented Morocco at the World Cup in Russia, and was one of the Atlas Lions' star performers as they exited with one point.

He overcame a concussion suffered in the North Africans' opener against Iran to deliver dynamic and adventurous displays down the right flank for Herve Renard's side.

Before signing for Malaga permanently in 2015, Netherlands-born Amrabat represented VVV-Venlo, Omniworld and PSV Eindhoven in his homeland.

He also spent time in Turkey with Kayserispor and Galatasaray.

Amrabat's departure was announced at the same time as defender Tommie Hoban, who moved to Aberdeen on loan for the 2018-19 season.
