Tottenham's Christian Eriksen 'can play everywhere and at any club' - Hugo Lloris

Christian Eriksen could play for "any club" in the world, according to Tottenham teammate Hugo Lloris.

The pair will face off when France play Denmark in Moscow on Tuesday, with Eriksen's side in need of a point to ensure they make it to the knockout stages. Speaking to kicker, Lloris has singled out his club-mate as a player with the ability to not only make the difference in the game but also for any side.

"He can decide games, like in the playoffs against Ireland [when Eriksen scored a hat trick]. He can steer games in the direction he wants," Lloris said.

"I already knew him from his time at Ajax. With Lyon, I played against him in Champions League. And already back then I believed that he might have a great career."

Lloris joined Spurs in 2012, and Eriksen arrived the following year.

"I saw a typical No. 10 in him when he joined Spurs, but this position has all but disappeared in modern football these days. You play with central attackers and wingers," Lloris said.

"But look at how Christian plays. He often starts out wide, then moves into the centre and keeps changing between those positions.

"He gets better and better and better with every year. And from my point of view, he can play everywhere and at any club. With his idea of football, how he reads the game and dictates its pace, he's a top player, technically speaking."
